Easter Freebie!

I'm in Sadsville!!  My Spring Break is officially over and it ended with a snow storm!!!  On a positive note, we only have a four day week this week because it's Easter next weekend.  So in honor of that, I created a little Easter Math Freebie for you to use this week.  I will be using this as morning work for my firsties.  They always need practicing counting on by any random number!!  And I just counted after these next four days, we only have 34 more days of school until SUMMER!!!!!  Can you believe that!!  How many days do you have left???

Click on any of the pictures if you would like to download the freebie for this week!!!

Winners and a Sale!!!

Sorry it has taken me a bit longer to get this posted.  My little man who turned four months yesterday, let me sleep in until 10 this morning.  Granted, I was up four times throughout the night, but hey we take what we can get right???

I had so many wonderful comments, so I went ahead and picked three winners!  I used a random number generator to choose them.  Don't worry, if you didn't win, I put all my Easter packets plus a few others on sale until Saturday.  Go check those out {here}.

Congratulations!!!

Debbie, I need your email address so I can send you the packet, if I don't hear from you I will have to choose another person!!  In the meantime, have a blessed Easter with family and friends!!!  Off to finish my Spring cleaning!!

Mini Easter Pack plus a flash giveaway!!

What started out as being one simple little activity for my firsties turned into being a mini unit for Easter.  This packet comes with three activities, one math, one writing, and one Language Arts.  The best part is you actually will have your kiddos dye Easter eggs.  I love dying eggs and can't wait to do it.  For a more detailed description on this packet, click {here}.

I would like to give this away to a lucky winner, but you don't have long to enter.  I will choose a winner tomorrow morning after I have had my coffee.  All you have to do is leave me comment below with what you like best about Easter and follow my blog.  Leave your email address and if you win I will send it your way tomorrow.  You can also click on the picture below to check out the packet!!

Good Luck!

Easter Activities!!

I am getting Spring Fever!!  It has been so nice here in the midwest, upper 80's today and hardly any wind.  I am so excited our KU Jayhawks beat Ohio last night and are in the championship finals Monday evening.  Go KU!!!  We are down to about 33 school days and I am getting pretty excited to spend the summer with my two girls, but there is still a lot that I need to get done with my kiddos.  I love Easter and all that goes with it.

Here are some ideas you can use with your kids for review of compound words and math facts!

This first basket, kids are matching words to make compound words.

Click on the image to download the recording sheet!!

This basket, kids will match an addition or subtraction sentence to the sum or difference.  You can really do anything with this and the kids will love it.

Here is the recording sheet for the math egg activity!
Some other ideas to use with those plastic eggs are:  synonym matching, antonym matching, or even send an egg home with each student and have them fill it with an item.  The kids have to guess what each kiddo brought by shaking it and making predictions.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!  We only have a four day week,  whoo-hoo!!  Anybody else have only four days this week??
